Art Memorial Museum of Helen Kulchytska
Information
The museum was founded in 1971 on the basis of Olena Kulchytska's former residence and her creative workshop. According to the will, the artistic heritage of the artist was given as a gift to the Ukrainian people. In 2007, on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of the birth of Olena Kulchytska, a permanent exposition of the museum was opened. It is located in the very apartment where the artist lived and worked since 1938.
The museum offers four spacious rooms, which display the diverse work of Olena Kulchytska. The exhibition covers her works of various genres and themes, showing the development in the context of European art of the 20th century. From the initial experiments in the style of Art Nouveau, combined with Ukrainian folk art, to becoming a prominent master of the national level, her art is recognized at the world level.
