Minerals - natural chemical compounds that make up Earth's crust, homogeneous in its physical structure and chemical composition. The science that studies minerals is called mineralogy. In a narrow sense, a mineral - a natural chemical compound of the crystal structure, created as a result of the geological manifestations of the process. This definition is the most recognized (AG Bulakh, 1977) and covers the first model (mandatory direct) natural objects, which are components of rocks, ores and formed as a result of geological processes to display (in) the Earth or other celestial bodies.

More than 2000 exhibits from all around the world are presented in the museum's collection of minerals.
