Ananyiv Historical and Art Museum
Information
The museum was opened in 1977 as a branch of the Odessa Art Museum. The museum building was built in the 80s of the 19th century and is located on the central street of the city. Until 1917, the building was a profitable house, and later housed an orphanage named after Balytskyi and boarding school.
The exposition of the museum includes the works of artists of Ananyiv, the district and Odesa region, in particular, the famous artist Yevgeny Stolitsa, who was a student of famous artists and participated in many exhibitions, and also worked on battle scenes of the Russo-Japanese war. The museum has halls devoted to the history of the city of Ananyiv and the district, including everyday objects of Ananyiv residents and historical facts about the Great Patriotic War and the pre-revolutionary period.
