Illichivsk Museum of Fine Arts of O.M. Biliy
Information
The museum was opened in 1978 as an exhibition of fine arts and porcelain. The name of the institution is dedicated to O. M. Bily, an outstanding collector and expert in this field. The museum was created on the basis of a private collection that Bely transferred to the state.
The museum collection includes 3,041 exhibits, each of which is a masterpiece in the field of applied art. These rare items come from more than 30 factories that operated in many countries. Among the exhibits are unique works created in the 18th and 19th centuries, as well as modern works of artists. Particularly valuable exhibits include items from the order services, such as the Volodymyrsky and Oleksandrivsky, made in 1780, as well as items from the Babegon service, created in the second half of the 19th century.
