The name of musicologist, composer, poet and teacher Volodymyr Skuratovsky is well known to the academic musical community of Dnipro and Ukraine in general, and he is known abroad as well. For 26 years, Volodymyr Ilyich worked at music school No. 6, he also taught theoretical disciplines at music schools in Kamian and Dnipro, and at the Dnipro Academy of Music. He was the initiator, organizer and host of numerous musical projects and concerts.

On June 2, 2016, he died suddenly while giving his closing remarks at a music school concert. Soon, the colleagues achieved the assignment of Skuratovsky's name to the 6th music school, and at the beginning of 2017, an interactive museum of Volodymyr Ilyich was opened there.

The creation of the Virtual Museum of the teacher and composer was the next step in the preservation and popularization of his heritage. The realization of this idea was made possible by the help of the "Realization of Ideas" charity fund and a grant from the Ukrainian Cultural Fund.

Museum visitors will get to know Skuratovsky's biography thanks to the highlight of the platform – a 3D excursion that "transports" to locations associated with Volodymyr Ilyich, immersing them in his world.

In the "Dialogues" section, you can ask any question and get an answer - a line from Skuratovsky's poem, a quote from his notes, or one of his famous aphorisms.

A significant part of Skuratovsky's activity was related to children, so the developers of the Virtual Museum took care of small visitors as well: they created an exciting musical game and quiz for them.

- Skuratovsky's virtual museum, in my opinion, reflects the main feature of his activity - the ability to create a creative space around himself and embrace many people with his talent and energy, - says Olga Skuratovska, the composer's widow, one of the curators of the project.

- In my opinion, Skuratovsky Virtual Museum is a new word in the museum and cultural sector of Ukraine in general. It can become an impetus for digitization of our museum heritage. The platform also performs an educational function, as it can be used in lessons on musical literature, the history of Ukrainian music and culture. This is also an example of an interesting look at a person, how you can create a living museum. We presented the platform live in Dnipro and online in other cities. And people are already asking for Volodymyr Ilyich's sheet music, his music will be played, someone is taking Skuratovsky's work for scientific work - and, I think, this is the greatest achievement of this project, - says Maria Korytna, Skuratovsky's student, one of the curators of the project.
