Launch of a social campaign and presentation of the program of events for the Day of Dignity and Freedom in 2025.

November 21 is the Day of Dignity and Freedom. This year we celebrate the 21st anniversary of the Orange Revolution and the 12th anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity.

On this occasion, a press conference was held, attended by: the head of the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance Oleksandr Alfyorov, the general director of the National Museum of the Revolution of Dignity Ihor Poshivaylo, and the general director - artistic director of the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater Yevhen Nyshchuk.

The participants presented the program of events to celebrate the Day of Dignity and Freedom, which includes a performance, a number of exhibitions, scientific, educational events, and public meetings.

“The events organized by the National Museum of the Revolution of Dignity are aimed at reinforcing and reminding our citizens of what happened not so long ago and what we today call the beginnings of the war for Ukraine's independence. At the same time, it should be emphasized that the memorial events themselves are quite extensive and will take place throughout the month,” said Oleksandr Alfyorov.

“This year’s slogan is ‘Day of Dignity and Freedom – every day, seven days a week.’ And these few words correspond to the reality of today. Our strategy for celebrating the Day of Dignity and Freedom, the Day of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred is that these are not selective days of the calendar. We must constantly remember those who gave the most in the fight for social values,” emphasized Ihor Poshivaylo.

“We must make efforts so that these events are not forgotten, and so that we have the ability to educate the young, beautiful generation of the future on these steps that were on the Maidans. We are now talking about both the Revolution of Dignity and the Orange Revolution,” said Yevhen Nyshchuk.

It should be noted that the Maidan Museum prepared and distributed social advertising materials among regional military administrations.

FOR INFORMATION

The slogan of this year's social campaign is: "Day of Dignity and Freedom - every day, without days off." With this, we aim to emphasize that Dignity and Freedom are values that need to be affirmed daily. The Maidans are peak moments when the struggle for these key values is concentrated in the time and places of mass protests. However, after the victories on the Maidans, we have a duty to defend them daily with our work and civic position.

Every day of a soldier "at zero", when the enemy is once again repulsed, is Dignity and Freedom Day. Every day when we donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, volunteer, support those in need; when we conscientiously work for the development of Ukraine - is Dignity and Freedom Day. And the day of our victory will be the day of the triumph of Dignity and Freedom.

This is not about a day on the calendar that you forget about by tearing off the calendar sheet. But it is a day when we remember the path we have already taken in the fight for these highest values, which we have no right to lose.
