20-01-2025 (10:30)

On January 22 at 6:00 PM, we urge you to join the procession and honor the first fallen Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred. The gathering will take place near the Lyadsky Gate.

On these days in 2014, the first protesters died on the Maidan. In their memory, a traditional procession will take place in the center of Kyiv, participants will light lamps and lay flowers at the memorial plaques. Every year, families of the fallen, Maidan activists and those who care about them walk the route from Lyadsky Gate to Mykhailo Hrushevsky Street, honoring the memory of the dead.

On January 22, 2014, 20-year-old Serhiy Nihoyan from Dnipropetrovsk and 25-year-old Belarusian Mykhailo Zhyznevsky were fatally wounded; the body of Yuriy Verbytsky, who had been kidnapped the day before, was found near Kyiv with signs of torture; Roman Senyk, a 45-year-old Lviv resident who was wounded that day, died a few days later in hospital; Maidan activists Oleksandr Badera and Bohdan Kalynyak are no more.

This action was initiated by the Third Hundred of the Maidan Self-Defense, to which Serhiy Nigoyan belonged - the first victim during the Maidan events. The checkpoint of the 3rd barricade, on which Serhiy Nigoyan was on duty, was located right near the Lyadsky Gate.

Organizers of the event: NGO "3 Hundred of the Maidan Self-Defense", NGO "Families of the Heavenly Hundred", Three-Holy Theological Seminary of the UGCC, National Museum of the Revolution of Dignity.
