The first scientific conference is devoted to the figure of the outstanding Ukrainian artist Mykhailo Zhuk (1883-1964) - a Ukrainian graphic artist, painter, ceramist, writer, translator and teacher.

The main goal of the conference is to comprehensively reveal the creative work and life path of the bright representative of the Ukrainian Renaissance Mykhailo Zhuk, to determine his place in the literary and artistic space and cultural life of Ukraine.

The main issues to be covered are:

• Contribution of Zhuk the artist to the development of Ukrainian painting of the first half of the 20th century;
• The diversity of the literary legacy of Mykhailo Zhuk - a writer of a new formation in Ukrainian literature of the 1900s-1920s;
• Mykhailo Zhuk as one of the founders of the Odessa ceramic school (1925-1957);
• Mykhailo Zhuk in the literary and artistic life of Ukraine in the 1900s-1930s;
• Highlighting the biographical and creative legacy of Mykhailo Zhuk in scientific research;
• The presentation of the "Antiquarian" magazine is dedicated to Mykhailo Zhuk.

The conference will be of interest to students and teachers of specialized educational institutions, local historians, guides, historians and all those interested in the cultural history of Odesa.
