Boris Paton was an outstanding Ukrainian scientist and inventor who made a significant contribution to the development of science and technology. He is known for his achievements in metallurgy, welding and scientific organization. In particular, Paton is the author of more than 1000 publications, 400 inventions and 20 monographs.
The memorial room of Academician Borys Yevhenovich Paton is located in the building of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The building of the Presidium, located on the street Volodymyrska, 54, was built in the 1850s according to the project of the architect Oleksandr Beretti.
