Kryvorivnya Literary and Memorial Museum of Ivan Franko

Information
For many years, since 1901, Ivan Franko visited Kryvorivnya every year. In 1960, thanks to the initiative of the I. Franko University of Lviv, a literary and memorial museum was created in the building where Kamenyar lived.
The museum has exhibition halls that reflect the socio-economic condition of the Hutsul Region, but the main exhibits are items related to the stay of Ivan Franko and other prominent figures in Kryvorivnya. The museum has two memorial rooms where the Franko family used to live. The interior of these rooms is reproduced according to the stories of those who remember the times of Kamenyar. Visitors can see the bed on which the writer slept, his fishing gear, as well as many editions of his works. In addition, the museum has a room in which the interior of a Hutsul residence of the end of the 19th - beginning of the 20th century is recreated.
Next to the museum there is a monument to Kamenyar, authored by the local master I. Marusyak, opened in 1981.
