Ivan Honchar Museum

The Museum of Ivan Honchar is a unique cultural institution located on the right bank of the Dnieper in Kyiv, among the centers of science and culture. This is an architectural monument of the 18th – 19th centuries, which houses the collection of the outstanding Ukrainian artist and collector Ivan Honchar. The museum was created on the basis of his private collection, which was transferred to the state by the Honchar family after the institution acquired state status.

The Museum-Center is a new organizational and functional form of a cultural institution, which presents a complex model of the spiritual and material life of the Ukrainian people. It is not just a repository of valuables and rarities, but also a unique reflection of the traditional life of Ukrainians.
