Shevchenko National Reserve

The Shevchenko National Reserve, located in Kanev, is one of the oldest historical and cultural reserves of Ukraine and the first to receive national status. Here you can see the grave of Taras Shevchenko, visit the literary and memorial museum and explore the assets of Ukrainian and world historical and cultural heritage. The reserve protects cultural monuments and the natural landscape on an area of 2,500 hectares.

Today, the Shevchenkiv National Reserve is a cultural, educational, research and tourist center that studies and popularizes the heritage of Ukrainian culture, the work of Kobzar and the history of Tarasova Mountain.
