Museum Room of T.G. Shevchenko

Information
On March 7, 2004, the Taras Shevchenko room-museum was officially opened in the Lviv Palace of Arts. The unique paintings of artists who went on a journey along the paths of Shevchenko to Ukraine, Vilnius, St. Petersburg and Kazakhstan became the basis for the creation of this room-museum. 26 artists, including both young and well-known masters, who created more than a hundred canvases, participated in the business trips. Roman Nakonechny, director of the Lviv Palace of Arts, realized the idea of this wonderful museum.
The museum room contains a unique exposition based on works of art. Numerous editions of "Kobzar" presented by Lviv residents and residents of other cities are also presented. A separate part of the exposition is devoted to medals, badges, stamps, in particular those issued by the underground post office of Ukraine in 1961.
