Memorial Museum of H.S. Skovoroda opens its exhibition in the halls of the Pereyaslav collegium. It was here that the famous Ukrainian philosopher studied and taught. Here he wrote many of his outstanding works, including The Garden of Divine Songs. Later, at the end of the 18th century, the collegium was transformed into a theological seminary. The museum that is now located here was opened in 1972.
The exposition of the museum includes collections of rare books, manuscripts, paintings, objects of folk art and other exhibits related to the life and work of the philosopher. Here you can learn, in particular, about Skovoroda during his life in the Pereyaslav region, as well as join the ancient history of the collegium.
