The memorial plaque of Taras Shevchenko is located in Almaty on the wall of a building on Shevchenko Street and was inserted as a sign of honoring the work of the poet and artist. On the plaque there is an inscription in Russian and Kazakh: "The street is named after the Ukrainian national poet, artist, democratic revolutionary Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko".
