Literal and memorial museum of V.G. Korolenko

The museum was opened in 1973, on July 27, on the 120th anniversary of the birth of Volodymyr Galaktionovych Korolenko. The museum is located in the memorial building where the writer spent his childhood and youth. Volodymyr Korolenko became famous thanks to his works, such as "In a stupid society", "Blind musician", "Language", as well as due to his bright journalistic work. His work became a kind of chronicle of a historical era.
The exposition of the museum is placed in seven halls, chronologically reflecting the life and work of Korolenko. The main fund of the museum includes more than 10,000 samples, including memorial items, editions of works by Korolenko and his contemporaries, works of graphics, painting, sculpture and applied art. The scientific research work of the museum is aimed at studying the era, creativity and biography of the writer.
The museum invites visitors to sight-seeing and thematic excursions, scientific and educational events, literary and musical evenings and creative meetings in the literary living room.
