National Botanical Garden named after M.M. Hryshka of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is part of the Nature Reserve Fund of Ukraine. It is a complex object of nature protection and has significance as a natural and cultural-historical object. NBS named after M.M. Hryshka of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine occupies one of the leading positions in Europe among the largest botanical gardens in terms of the variety of living plants, the size of the territory and scientific research.
The merits of the first post-war director, Academician M.M. Grishka and the team of botanists cannot be overestimated, as their efforts allowed to create a unique botanical garden in terms of size and composition, to successfully place collections and plant exhibits, as well as to combine scientific research with educational, educational and recreational purposes. Subsequent descendants highly appreciate their contribution - this contribution is a real self-sacrifice, so the botanical garden was awarded the honorary name of the outstanding scientist Mykola Mykolayovych Hryshko.
