The Kyiv anatomical school established the basic and methodologically correct position about the relationship and inseparability of form and function, which allowed to achieve the unity of theory and practice. Modern Ukrainian anatomy is a dynamic science that is constantly developing and enriched with new knowledge. It meets the criteria of clinical and educational usefulness, and also has a direct connection with the practice of the Ukrainian health care system.

The history of the Department of Human Anatomy of the O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University is rich in scientific discoveries and serves as an example of the creative, persistent and selfless work of scientists. It reflects the process of formation of academic traditions of Ukrainian anatomy in the scientific and educational spheres.
