Museum of Hutsul region
Information
The museum has about a thousand exhibits. Employees collect exhibits independently and hope for the support of institutions, enterprises and caring citizens. Donors are recorded in the history of the region with thanks from present and future generations.
Hutsul clothing and working looms are presented in the museum exposition. The main decoration is a wedding couple (dolls), donated by the Yaselsky family from London, natives of the village of Zhabyo.
The museum presents unique exhibits: a meteorite found by Vasyl Matarzhuk in the Bystrets River, a Kostel chapel, church books of birth certificates, the magazines "Hutsulshchyna" and "Silsky gospodar" (1936) with materials in the Hutsul dialect, and a coat of arms from the time of Dovbush, donated by Dmytro Steflyuk .
