Museum of History and Railway Equipment of the Southern Railway

The museum is a division of the Southern Railway and is located on the territory of the Kharkiv-Passenger station complex. The institution was founded in 1967 and underwent several renovations, and in July 2014 it opened in a new building with an exhibition of railway equipment.
The museum's funds include more than 2,000 exhibits, of which 500 are on display, as well as 36 pieces of railway equipment. The total area of the open-air museum is more than 1,000 square meters. m. The exposition of the museum consists of three halls, which reveal different stages of the development of the Southern Railway.
The museum's holdings include ancient and rare exhibits, unique documents and photographs, including tools, a wheelbarrow, a wall telephone, bonds, tickets and railwaymen's certificates, as well as models of rolling stock.
