The Museum of the History of Religion in Lviv is a cultural institution that reflects the history of world and national religions, as well as the activities of church organizations with the help of unique materials collected in the museum. The exposition of the museum is located in the building of the Dominican monastery, which was founded in the XIV-XVIII centuries. In the large exhibition hall, the former refectory of the monastery, organ music concerts are organized at the initiative of the music and educational department.
The church, built according to the project of the Austrian engineer Jan de Witte, is one of the best examples of baroque architecture in the city. The museum exposition consists of 10 thematic sections, and the fund includes more than 50,000 preservation items, including exhibits of unique cult, artistic and historical value.
