State Natural History Museum of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine

Count Volodymyr Didushytskyi, the founder of the Natural History Museum, was surrounded by home naturalistic collections from an early age. It is known that the count's mother, Paulina Didushytska, was a collector of herbariums and tropical molluscs, and also had the talent of an artist, which was reflected in her wonderful sketches of the collected exhibits.

In 1868, the count bought a separate building to store the collection, which he later donated to the city. Now everyone can visit the natural history museum located here. The museum stores many curiosities from the natural world, which are constantly replenished thanks to scientific research and expeditions by a team of scientists.
