Museum of Ore Formations of the Faculty of Geology of LNU is unique in its kind. This is a scientific and educational institution that offers visitors an unforgettable journey into the world of ore formations. The museum is located in the corridor of the mineral geology department and occupies an area of 65 square meters.
The museum presents more than 5,000 exhibits from different parts of the world, which are stored in 11 closed cabinets and exhibited in 19 glass showcases. Here you can learn about different types of ores, their physical and chemical properties, as well as their importance for humans and nature. The exposition of the museum is replenished with new exhibits and tells about various deposits from different parts of the world. The Museum of Ore Formations is popular among teachers and students of secondary schools, gymnasiums and colleges, as well as among all those interested in geology and natural history.
