Lviv Polytechnic National University

Lviv Polytechnic National University has always been a leader in implementing the best systems of higher technical education in Ukraine. The basis for such educational systems became the principles of combining natural and scientific and fundamental training with the acquisition of professional and practical skills in industry and scientific institutions. These principles have evolved thanks to the continuous work of generations of polytechnic scientists. In "Lviv Polytechnic" integration processes were introduced, uniting education, science and production. The concept of national education and spiritual revival was harmoniously woven into the educational process. During its 200 years of existence, Lviv Polytechnic has trained more than 250,000 graduates.

The university has 22 specialized academic councils that defend dissertations in 52 specialties. Of these, 17 specialized academic councils are dedicated to obtaining the scientific degree of Doctor of Sciences in 45 specialties. The specialized scientific councils include leading doctors of science and university professors who head well-known scientific schools, as well as scientists from other Ukrainian higher educational institutions and institutes of the National Academy of Sciences.
