NFUU Botanical Garden Arboretum

The Arboretum of the Botanical Garden of NFUU was created for the purpose of preserving and researching the diversity of the plant world, as well as for student training and scientific research in the field of dendrology and forestry. The features of different types of trees and shrubs, their ability to adapt to different climatic conditions, as well as the influence of various factors on the growth and development of plants are studied here.
The Lviv Forestry Institute (LFI) was organized on January 15, 1945. In January 1952, the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel through postgraduate courses at five departments began: land transport, mechanization of forestry, forest taxation, machine tools and tools, and sawmilling. To date, more than 5,000 students study at the university.
