Museum of Modern Art of Ukraine

Information
On June 7, 2005, the first private museum of modern art in Ukraine was opened. The history of the museum began with a small collection of non-figurative paintings by modern Ukrainian artists, which was collected by the well-known businessman and philanthropist Serhiy Tsyupko for 20 years. Later, the collection was expanded, and the main attention was focused on Ukrainian art of the second half of the 20th century, which became the basis of the museum. Now it is the only museum in Ukraine, which preserves the works of many representatives of various art schools and directions of all regions of the country from the 1930s of the 20th century to the present day. The museum's collection includes more than 5,000 works of painting, graphics, sculpture, and decorative and applied art, as well as works by more than 700 authors.
In December 2009, the museum moved to a new three-story building at 17 Hlybochytska Street, where many interesting exhibitions and projects took place. In September 2014, the museum opened its doors at a new address — 41 Kyrylivska Street, and became the only museum in Ukraine that preserves the works of representatives of various art schools and directions.
In addition, the museum has a library, and the lecture hall hosts theoretical and practical events, such as master classes, lectures, seminars, round tables, conferences with the participation of Ukrainian and foreign artists and art connoisseurs.
