Ternopil Art Museum

Information
This unique museum was founded on May 1, 1991. Here you can find three halls with permanent exhibitions: "Art of Ukraine", "Foreign Art" and "Dionysius Sholdra Memorial Hall".
The hall of Ukrainian art is divided into three sections. The first section is dedicated to sacred art, which includes painting, carving and graphics. The middle section is devoted to Ukrainian art of the second half of the 19th and 20th centuries. The third section contains the works of artists who were born or worked in the Ternopil region.
The museum exhibition is complemented by Western European graphics. A special place in the hall of foreign art is occupied by the works of Polish artists. The exhibition is complemented by easel bronze and terracotta sculptures.
The Memorial Hall of Dionysius Sholdra (1925-1995), a New York-based artist and restorer, born in Ternopil, displays paintings, exhibition catalogs, tools, and photographs of the paintings he restored.
