Leopold Levytsky Memorial Art Museum

Information
The Leopold Levytsky Museum, opened in 1984, is located in the building where the artist lived and worked from 1946 to 1973. The exposition of the museum presents the peculiarities of the environment in which the artist worked, including the interior of the apartment, personal belongings and his creative work. The museum consists of a memorial part, and also presents the work of Levytsky from the time of his studies at the Krakow Academy of Arts to the last days of his life.
The Lviv National Museum has the largest collection of Levytsky's works, which includes more than 500 exhibits, most of which were donated by his wife. It was thanks to her that the museum staff received the artist's archive, including letters, manuscripts, documents and other materials that are of great importance for the study of the work and personality of Leopold Levytsky.
