I.P. Kavaleridze Museum-Workshop

Information
The museum-workshop of Ivan Kavaleridze was opened in 1993 on Andriyivskyi Uzviz in building No. 21. Here, in 1911, the sculptor created a monument to Princess Olga. The museum stores more than 5,000 exhibits dedicated to the life and work of Ivan Kavaleridze. In addition, the gallery "In the house of Ivan Kavaleridze" operates here.
Ivan Petrovich Kavaleridze was a genius of his time, the Ukrainian Michelangelo, as he was called. His talent could not go unnoticed. He was a philosopher of his work, a thinker from art. The incredible diversity of Kavaleridze's talents — sculptor, film director, playwrighter — testifies to his talent and an incredible level of comprehension of reality.
Kavaleridze created "plastic" films, the images of which can be described as angular and cubically clear, or torn and stormy. This is very similar to what his sculptures were like — deep and skillful, with a sense of the author's soul and "thinking with the heart".
