Museum of Institute of physical chemistry
Information
Institute of Physical Chemistry of L. V. Pysarzhevsky is a well-known scientific center of Ukraine, which is engaged in fundamental and applied research in various branches of modern physical chemistry. The institution was founded in 1927 by L. V. Pisarzhevsky, one of the most outstanding chemical scientists of the 20th century.
The research of scientists of the Institute received recognition in Ukraine and abroad, in particular in the field of catalysis, isotope chemistry, free radical chemistry, adsorption, physical chemistry of coordination compounds and photochemistry. The pioneering works of L. V. Pisarzhevsky in the field of electronic chemistry became the basis of modern ideas about chemical phenomena and processes. The Institute has developed the physicochemical principles for the design and synthesis of new nanostructured and nanocomposite materials with various functional properties and has implemented new functional materials and processes in various industries and social spheres.
