Institute for Safety Problems of Nuclear Power Plants
Information
The Institute of Safety Problems of Nuclear Power Plants (ISP NPP) was created after the accident at the Chernobyl NPP in 1986 with the aim of developing scientific and technical solutions related to the elimination of the accident and the transformation of the "Shelter" facility into an environmentally safe system. ISP NPP also deals with the problems of improving the safety of power units of NPPs of Ukraine in various directions, including the physics of nuclear reactors, reliability of electrical equipment, instrumentation, radio ecology, emergency response and others.
The results of ISP IPB studies contribute to increasing the level of safety of operating NPPs, reducing the number of violations in the operation of power units, and extending their service life. ISP NPP is also an important scientific organization that ensures protection of people and the environment from radiation risks.
