National Museum-Preserve of M.V. Gogol

The museum-reserve of M.V. Gogol is one of the most significant monuments of the Poltava region and is noted for its uniqueness and hospitality. In the Gogol estate, where Mykola Gogol once lived, tourists and connoisseurs of the artist's life and work are met every day.
The territory of the museum-reserve consists of a complex of architectural and landscape-natural objects, including the parents' house, an outbuilding, a park-garden and small architectural forms, as well as the grave of the parents. A special feature of the manor are two memorial ponds with total area of 10 hectares.
The Gogol Memorial is not only an important center for preserving the spiritual heritage of Ukraine, but also an international scientific and cultural center. During the many years of the activity of the reserve, its scientists took part in numerous scientific conferences, which allowed Ukraine to be well represented in the world. According to the results of the activity evaluation, the reserve was included in the top ten museums of Ukraine.
