Museum of Books and Printing of Ukraine is located in the very center of Kyiv, on the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. This is the largest book museum in the country, located in the building of an ancient monastery printing house that operated for almost four centuries. The exposition of the Museum consists of rich treasures of the book culture of the Ukrainian people, which reflect the history of the national book from the earliest times of Kyivan Rus to the present day.
The museum regularly holds art, book-illustrative and photo exhibitions in two exhibition halls. Events devoted to important events in the cultural life of Ukraine are also organized here. Scientific activity is one of the main directions of the Museum's work. It includes research, publications and scientific processing of exhibits, as well as participation in scientific conferences.
