National Museum of A. Sheptytsky in Lviv

The Andrey Sheptytsky Museum is a national cultural treasury of Ukraine. Created in 1905 by Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytskyi, the museum was handed over to the people of Ukraine in 1913. Now the museum stores more than 150,000 exhibits, which are evidence of age-old traditions and the development of Ukrainian culture.

One of the most significant collections of the museum is medieval Ukrainian sacred art of the 12th-18th centuries. This collection includes manuscripts, icons, sculpture, decorative carvings, objects of ecclesiastical art and decorative fabrics. The museum's archives contain works by famous European artists, as well as a large collection of Ukrainian engravings of the 17th and 18th centuries.
