Museum of embroidered icons of the father Dr. Dmytro Blazheyovskyi

Information
The museum of embroidered icons and images is the only one of its kind in Ukraine. It was created in Lviv on June 6, 1999. The museum's exposition includes more than 250 icons, which were embroidered by the famous father Dmytro Blazheyovskyi. He became a pioneer in the creation of such a type of art as "embroidered icon", and began embroidering at the age of 60, attracting many followers to this art.
In the museum of icons you can find a wonderful collection of Ukrainian icons, among which there are miraculous icons of the Mother of God, iconostasis icons and icons of 12 holidays. Also in the exposition are 4 icons of the Mother of God, including Sophia's Oranta, two Intercessions and Hodigitria, as well as a half-length icon of Jesus the Cross and a pair of icons to Hodigitria. In addition, you can see 6 Passion icons and numerous icons of holy men and women. Printed patterns were created for all the icons of the museum, so now everyone can embroider them.
