NMNH. Archaeological Museum

Information
The Archaeological Museum was founded in 1966 as a scientific department of the Institute of Archaeology, and on May 19, 1969, it opened its doors to visitors.
To date, the four halls of the museum on an area of 500 square meters have about 10,000 different exhibits, which make it possible to reconstruct the history of Ukraine from the time of the first man to the late Middle Ages. Most of the exhibits are unique historical and artistic objects, such as the oldest musical complex of the Paleolithic era from Mizin, Tryplian sculpture, a modeled skull of the Bronze Age, and many others.
The exposition of the museum reflects an excellent combination of fundamental research of the staff of the Institute of Archeology with their practical implementation. Every year, the museum presents new exhibits that expand the boundaries of knowledge and offer new ideas for further study of archaeology.
