Sofiyivka Dendrological Park

"Sofiyivka" is one of the most famous examples of world garden and park art, which is widely known outside of Ukraine. The basis of the compositional solution of the central part of the park is the mythological stories of Ancient Greece and Rome, and some places resemble the abodes of Greek gods, heroes, writers and philosophers. According to the architect's idea, the park is a visual illustration of individual parts of Homer's poems "Iliad" and "Odyssey". Each composition or small architectural form is not only outwardly beautiful, but also contains a certain idea, expresses the idea of a myth or some event.

To date, all sculptures and busts in the park have been restored. A three-headed "Eagle" sculpture was cast from bronze and installed on the obelisk, Diana's grotto was restored. Benches were installed along the entire route, similar to those that were here before the revolution of 1917.
