Museum of T.G. Shevchenko in Baryshivka

This unique museum is dedicated to the life and work of Taras Shevchenko and is located in the village of Baryshivka. The founder of the museum was the Ukrainian historian and Soviet party figure Vasyl Semenovych Kostenko, who donated his private collection of Shevchenko artifacts to the museum. After retirement, he managed to establish a museum with the help of local authorities.

The exhibition contains unique items related to Kobzar's stay in Baryshivka. Also, nearby is a burial mound, after visiting which Shevchenko wrote the poem "Diggered Grave".
